Improve Your Running Form with a Running Economy Assessment
Everyone can run, but not everyone runs well, nor do many people even enjoy running. When trained to run more efficiently, many of the aches and pains that people associate with running will subside. One of the easiest ways to improve your speed and reduce risk of injury is to improve your running gait. Running economy means reducing wasted movement and improving biomechanics to produce optimal power. From the way you hold your hands and swing your arms, to the way your foot strikes and pushes off the ground, endurance running is a full body skill which can be honed.
Each Running Economy Assessment will take a look at your running form from 3 viewing angles; front, side, and behind. Josh will take a recording of you on a treadmill and outside to provide an analysis as well as a plan to improve your form. A series of exercises and form adjustments will be made and after 4 weeks you will perform another REA with video to see your improvement. Changing your form isnt as simple as just asking you to run differently, but drilling and practicing will make these changes permanent. Our Running Economy Assessment is great but works best when accompanied with a personal or group training package.
Begin your journey to enjoying running, running your fastest 5k, or completing your first marathon with a professional teaching you how to do it right!
